ENGINEERING DAY

2017 Engineering Day registration is closed

K-State Engineering Day will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017. We invite interested freshman, sophomore and junior students in high school.

Engineering Day will benefit students who have not yet visited K-State or who want to learn more about engineering. In addition to giving these guests an in-depth look at the College of Engineering, we will be discussing career opportunities and the latest challenges in the field of engineering—energy, environmental protection, computing, information technology, robotics, construction, biotechnology, manufacturing, water, biomedical, etc.

Goals for the event are as follows:

7:30-8:30 AM Parking available in the upper levels of the parking garage at 17th Street and Anderson Avenue, immediately south of the Student Union. Parking permits will be issued via email when participants receive their confirmation of attendance (2 to 3 weeks prior to event). Please allow 20 to 30 minutes for parking.

8:00-9:30 AM Check-in, K-State College of Engineering (southeast entrance).
Light refreshments will be available.
   
9:30-11:45 AM Welcome/Engineering Career Session. Engineering Auditoriums, K-State College of Engineering.
 
  • Learn about engineering careers
  • Learn about what it is to be an engineer and some of the challenges currently being faced
  • Interactive activities to learn about what engineering is
   
11:45-1:00 PM Lunch provided with K-State students and faculty. Union Ballroom, 2nd Floor.
   
1:00-3:00 PM Afternoon Session
 
  • Students will have the opportunity to explore all areas of engineering and interact with competition teams.
  • Closing informal reception (optional), Carl & Mary Ice Reception Center.
